Polar Hub has carried out more than thirty scientific exploration, climate change research, and ecological restoration projects across China and in the Arctic and Antarctic, cooperating with the Ministry of Ecology and Environment, UNESCO, the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and other institutions on numerous science exploration and science communication programs. It has set multiple world records in scientific exploration and collected scientific samples from all three of the planet’s poles. Its projects span the Antarctic continent, the Arctic ice sheet, Greenland, and the Tibetan Plateau, covering glaciers, oceans, mountains, and low-carbon advocacy.

The team has world-class capabilities in polar glacier science expeditions. It is the operating organization of the Polar Science Expedition Specialized Committee of the China Association for Scientific Expedition, and is currently China’s only civil organization with independent ice-core drilling capability and its own ice-core sample storage. It has set multiple national and international expedition records and has carried out ice-core drilling, snow and ice sampling, and scientific expedition projects across most of the Antarctic, the Arctic, and the Tibetan Plateau.
